PCR Test: Fast and Targeted Diagnosis
PCR tests allow to quickly and accurately identify the main ocular pathogens, providing an immediate and targeted response for effective treatment.
PCR test advantages
  • Early and accurate diagnosis of ocular microbiome alterations for timely infection management.
  • Non-invasive method simple to perform at home with the kit that can be collected and sent by courier.
  • Detailed report indicating the presence and quantity of microorganisms, useful for the doctor to personalize therapy.

  • Bacteria: such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus pneumoniae, responsible for ocular infections such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis and bacterial keratitis.
  • Viruses: adenovirus and herpes simplex, frequent causes of ocular viral infections.
  • Fungi: species such as Candida albicans and Fusarium that cause mycotic keratitis.
  • Protozoa / parasites: Acanthamoeba, particularly dangerous for contact lens wearers, cause of Acanthamoeba keratitis, difficult to treat.
